Mercedes Benz Classic Car Club German Day Show

The Mercedes Benz Classic Car Club will be hosting their annual all day German Autofest down at Newcastle’s Foreshore. With fun for both owners and lovers of cars from classic through to modern, the event will see car owners of Porsche, Volkswagen, and Mercedes Benz (of course) enter to win a whole range of different awards. Car registration opens from 8am, so make sure to get there bright and early.
Sculptures at Scratchley

Sculptures at Scratchley will be an exhibition held at the spectacular Fort Scratchley in Newcastle’s East, showcasing a handpicked number of local and international works from various artists. Come on down to see a whole scope of different sculptures. Lucky Long Lunch for Cancer Council NSW

Hosted by Josh Lawlor, this four hour event will see participants sport a touch of yellow and meet in the courtyard of The Lucky, where there will be a full feast, live music and performers, prizes up for grabs, and more. For those looking to really contribute, VIP tickets will see you start the day sipping bubbles at Shameless Selfie Studio – a DIY studio and event space – where they’ll take selfies and collect VIP bags. Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow

If you’re in need of a good chuckle, this one’s for you. Newcastle’s Civic Theatre will be hosting the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow from 09-10 June. Celebrating the Roadshow’s 25th year, the two night event will see an all-star lineup of your favourite comedians take to the stage to make you laugh harder and louder than ever before. Featuring comedians both new to the scene as well as seasoned names you’ll know and love, this is truly a side-burst event you cannot miss.
Float Your Boat

An open competition for boat owners, Float Your Boat is a two day event that lets sailors of all seized vessels dress up their boats with spectacular lights and take part in a flotilla parade (with a few cash prizes up for grabs too). With the flotilla visiting spots such as Lake Macquarie, Coal Point and Wangi Wangi, you’re sure to find a place to stop and check out the festivities. Not to mention the Warner’s Bay foreshore will host live music, entertainment, food trucks, and more. Mark your calendars and prepare for a family-friendly bright fun night.

Dark Side of the Moon – 50th Anniversary Tour

Nothing says good old rock and roll like a supergroup, a regional tour, and Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’. Join supergroup Australian Rock Collective (Featuring Spiderbait’s Kram, Powderfinger’s Darren Middle, Jet’s Mark Wilson, and You Am I’s Davey Lane) as they roll into the Newcastle’s Civic Theatre for a night of honouring one the most iconic rock albums of all time.
