Living Life Like It’s a Holiday at Bar Beach
Standing proudly in Bar Beach is a family home that feels like every day is a holiday. The five bedroom, four bathroom home is space to relax and unwind or spend time really enjoying the company of family and friends.
The home sports a variety of different details and finishes. Simple choices such as windows and tiles have been carefully selected for maximum luxurious effect. Even areas such as the home gym have a grand feel to them. The owner says this feeling is present no matter where you are in the home.
“There is inbuilt cabinetry in every room taking away the need for pieces of furniture, the walls are all tiled, or covered in textures giving the home a very sophisticated elevated feel,” says the owner.
The master bedroom suite acts as a unique space in the home. It’s large and open area has airy views to Bar Beach. Downstairs, the open plan living, dining and alfresco provide a beautiful space to look at and for everyone to connect. The kids’ level has two bedroom suites with large ensuites and WIR. The two other large rooms share a bathroom so everyone has space – meaning no fighting over bathrooms!
The layout of the home is centered around the staircase, which connects both the kids and parents levels, acting as a communal zone for people to interact. The owner says with four kids in the family, finding space for quality time as well as personal time was crucial in their house hunt, so the Bar Beach home was designed with this in mind.
“We have our main living area on the ground level where we all interact and connect but when you need to take some time for yourself, you can peel off to your own zone.”
“The four kids are in the middle level with their own lounge and gym while the parents’ retreat is on level three. Having the central staircase connecting all levels keeps us together so no one is ever too far away.”
“This modern backyard balances the line between state-of-the-art and universally tranquil, offering a space to retreat to after a long day at work.”
With so many features and amenities, it can be hard to pick a favourite. But the owner says it’s simply the view out over the pool with the waterfall feature. This modern backyard balances the line between state-of-the-art and universally tranquil, offering a space to retreat to after a long day at work.
Aside from the gorgeous views and pristine lifestyle, the owner says the move to Bar Beach made sense for their family. With four kids, the area gave them the chance to go out and explore while still being safe and secure.
“We wanted to live close to the beach and also close to The Junction and Darby Street. Because we have kids, being close to things means they can be independent and get around on their own. They can meet friends at the beach or go kick a ball over at in Empire Park. The area is so convenient and also really friendly.”
For the family, another big part of the move was to be part of the Bar Beach community. Since settling in, the owner says the locals have been incredibly warm and welcoming, helping them become part of the community as well.
“Bar Beach is a very small community, and the people are very friendly. We have met so many people since we have lived here that have been here forever and they have really welcomed us.”
