Coffee Lovers: New Lambton & Surrounds

1. Darks Coffee Roasters

Globally sourced and locally roasted is the Darks’ motto, and you can try it for yourself at their McDonald Jones Stadium container cafe. With easy parking out front, it’s the perfect on-the-go spot for your morning fix, though you’ll always find a friendly face to sit and chat with too.

5. Barista Miss

A family-owned, family-friendly little nook on Regent Street. Well-behaved four-legged friends receive a special treat of their own. They offer a small menu of breakfast/all day foods and plenty of sweet treats for humans, including bagels from Newcastle’s Papa’s.

6. Rosie and Shell

This cute spot combines a vintage caravan turned coffee shop with a lifestyle store. Serving Coffee Supreme (from New Zealand), smoothies and a few small bites to eat, you can enjoy it underneath their colourful umbrellas before a browse inside the store where you’ll find a curated selection of homewares and lifestyle products. There’s even a cubby to keep the kids busy!

7. Little Lane

Also in the Lane family is Little Lane, situated within the shopping village on Orchardtown Road. Grab a stool out the front to chat with fellow locals and passersby. You’re always guaranteed a quality coffee, too, and if you visit often enough, they might add you to the wall of fame!

8. Euro Patisserie

A little bit of Europe in the heart of New Lambton. Swing by for a coffee or stay for lunch. Specialising in made-to-order cakes, or if you’re the type that usually needs to grab one at the last minute, they always have a delectable selection of celebration cakes ready to go. If you can’t fit in a whole cake, choose from their range of patisserie treats.

9. Yak & Yeti Espresso + Home

Another more recent addition to the Blackbutt Village shops is Yak & Yeti. With their own range of homewares with a very beachy, natural vibe, this is another one of those ‘stay a while’ type cafes. There’s a guaranteed selection of baked goods, an extensive brunch menu if you’re after something more substantial, all your usual favourite caffeinated beverages and some specialty iced drinks too (check out the Red Velvet Frappe!)
